This is a CLOSEOUT model of the Alvarez CC7 Classical Guitar in which we installed an LR Baggs Stagepro Element pickup w/preamp. It is in great condition, but has some cosmetic blemishes which are:
Other than that, the guitar is in great shape and plays well. Full-bodied classical guitar for an even fuller sound.
The LR Baggs Stagepro Element sells for $179 which does not include the cost to install it. Normally this would go for around $679.99 brand new, but since this is a demo item, it is listed for less.
At PC Sound, we check out our instruments and provide a general setup before placing them out for sale to ensure the instrument is in the best possible condition. However, if you purchase this instrument to be shipped, sometimes a minor adjustment may be needed once it arrives to you due to changes in temperature, humidity, shipping, or individual preferences. If temperatures are very cold or hot, please allow your instrument to sit in the box or case for at least 24 hours to allow time for it to acclimate.
Information on the CC7 series:
The CC7 Cadiz Classical Guitar is part of the Cadiz Series of Alvarez guitars.
The CÁDIZ series guitars offers responsive and engaging nylon string guitars of a quality and playability we think you’ll adore. Everything about them is considered and chosen. They are a new shape, slightly taller, slightly narrower, more elegant. The soundbox is more lightly built, the tops are graduated and each brace is custom cut and sanded with 4 varying widths in total.
The bracing design gives a slight nod to that of the Jose Ramirez III’s asymmetric architecture in the fact our guitars have a treble bar. This is to stiffen up the treble side of the top a little more which helps us create very round, bell like trebles on our first three strings. We keep the bass side of the top light by using slightly thinner braces which helps us give the player very open, clear and strong bass response.
In order to make the guitars as responsive as they could, they had to keep them as light as they could in construction while staying true to traditional design. So in the standard models there are no trussrods. Our necks are three-piece and a solid Ebony centre rod gives them the strength and lightness they need. The CÁDIZ models are also made with a Spanish heel neck joint.
The CÁDIZ scale length is longer than the standard 650mm (25.6”) you will find on many classical guitars. At 660mm (26.”) the scale length raises the tension just a little and helps deliver more energy into the soundbox for you to harness and shape.
The classical models are stunning with dark Walnut back and sides and Acacia binding, AA Sitka tops, Saddle and nut are real bone, rosettes are wood mosaic and bridges and fingerboards are Pau Ferro.
We believe CÁDIZ Series guitars will engage any player, whether a seasoned professional or someone looking for different tones from an engaging nylon string guitar.
